Book your evening
The exhibition Gustave Eiffel, a childhood in Burgundy, at the Château du Clos de Vougeot, pays tribute to the famous engineer through fourteen paintings tracing his journey from his birth to his beginnings as a builder. This childhood was, of course, peppered with the difficulties inherent in harsh living conditions, epidemics, social and economic crises that shook the country, but it was also filled with bright, joyful moments, unforgettable emotions in Dijon, Gilly-lès-Cîteaux, and the Clos de Vougeot. The years spent in the Côte d'Or favored the blossoming of the qualities of the great man he became, nourishing his masterpieces in depth. They contributed to make the young Gustave Eiffel an exceptional man, to whom we owe the construction of an emblematic monument, the Eiffel Tower, in phase with the identity and colors of his birthplace, Burgundy.

An exhibition to be discovered in the monks' dormitory from Saturday, September 17, with access to the exhibition included in the price of tickets.

In parallel to this exhibition, discover in the Grand Cellar, the exhibition "The Eiffel Tower in all its states" composed of 18 paintings by the painter Sylvain Yeatman-Eiffel, descendant of Gustave Eiffel. This exhibition will be on display until December 2023.
