On September 19, 2026, the Château du Clos de Vougeot will host the second edition of the charity auction and dinner « Clos de Vougeot pour l'abbaye de Cîteaux ».

Led by the Château du Clos de Vougeot and the Fondation du Patrimoine, this event will bring together winemakers, collectors, patrons, and wine enthusiasts around a shared goal: supporting the restoration of the Definitoire of the Abbey of Cîteaux, a 17th-century Cistercian building, and enabling its reopening to the public by 2030.

On this occasion, an auction conducted by Christie's will take place in the château's great Cistercian cellar.

For this new edition, the Château du Clos de Vougeot and the Fondation du Patrimoine are calling on the generosity of Burgundy wine estates to assemble exceptional lots, composed of rare wines and unique experiences.

Through their commitment, winemakers actively contribute to the transmission of an exceptional cultural, spiritual, and winemaking heritage.

The highlight of the day will be a charity dinner held in the Cistercian cellar of Clos de Vougeot. In this iconic setting, guests will enjoy an exceptional gastronomic experience at the crossroads of heritage, wine, and the French art of living.
