European Heritage Days : Guided-tour
The 39th edition of the European Heritage Days will take place this year on Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 September 2023.
Guided-tours in English are organized at : 11:30 a.m and 3:30 p.mFrench are organized at : 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 16 at 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 17.
PROGRAM OF THESE TWO DAYS:
Discover the 900-year history of the Château du Clos de Vougeot by booking a guided or self-guided tour over the two days.
The Trio de Vougeot will accompany you throughout the weekend with music and songs that are 100% Burgundian, thanks to Patrick Gutrin (guitar and vocals), Dominique Remoissenet (vocals) and Chirstian Codfert (guitar).
EIFFEL, A CHILDHOOD IN BURGUNDY" EXHIBITION
To mark the centenary of the death of France's most famous builder, Gustave Eiffel, come and discover the exhibition "Eiffel, une enfance en Bourgogne" (Eiffel, a childhood in Burgundy).
The exhibition introduces visitors to the young Gustave, who grew up between Dijon and Gilly-lès-Cîteaux, passing through the Château du Clos de Vougeot before going on to become the world's most famous engineer.
(Exhibition on display in the château's former monks' dormitory).
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 17 AT 3:30PM, LECTURE: "EIFFEL, FROM CHILD TO SCIENTIST" BY CURATOR VÉRONIQUE BRUNET, IN THE FORMER MONKS' WINERY.
