On September 19 and 20, 2026, the European Heritage Days will take place at the Château du Clos de Vougeot. The event will offer the public the opportunity to explore the château with family or friends through self-guided or guided tours, and will feature musical performances that are 100% Burgundian.

THIS WEEKEND'S PROGRAM:

Discover the 900-year history of the Château du Clos de Vougeot by booking your guided tour. During your visit, you'll have the rare opportunity to step inside the château's kitchens, where resident chef Alexandra Bouvret and her team are hard at work every day. Normally closed to the public, take advantage of these special days to go behind the scenes at the château. The Trio de Vougeot will provide musical accompaniment throughout the weekend with 100% Burgundian tunes and songs, featuring Patrick Gutrin (guitar and vocals), Jean-Michel Fabris (guitar), and Christian Codfert (guitar).

BRILLAT-SAVARIN EXHIBITION: THE BIRTH OF GASTRONOMY

To mark the bicentennial of its publication and the death of its author, Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin (1755-1826), the Château du Clos de Vougeot will present the exhibition "Brillat-Savarin: The Birth of Gastronomy" to visitors starting in April 2025. Through an exhibition featuring some fifteen panels, period artifacts, and manuscripts, visitors will discover the history of the famous gastronome—from his birth in the Ain region, to his time in Dijon and his role as a deputy and magistrate, to his writings and famous aphorisms—and, of course, beyond the famous cheese, the legacy that this transcendent gastronome has left us 200 years later.

The Château du Clos de Vougeot is a privately owned historic monument that receives no government subsidies. The restoration of the château is made possible by our visitors' admission fees. We appreciate your understanding.
